KAHN, Eli. On Friday, July 18, 2008. Born on August 11, 1929. Son of the late Harry Kahn and the late Rachel Levin Kahn. Survived by his loving sister Gita (Kahn) Kaplowitz and brother-in-law Isaac (Ike) Kaplowitz of Eastchester, New York, and his two devoted nephews and their families, Richard, Marji, Julia, Amanda, and Carly Kaplowitz of Connecticut and Michael, Donna, Ariel, Andrew, Eliana, and Daniel Kaplowitz of Michigan. Eli leaves behind a beloved family in Israel including Shlomo and Roza Kaplun and their dear family. Eli's family wishes to thank Ellen Tissenbaum, Howard Modlin, Kenneth, and all the staff of the Manoir Montefiore for making Eli's last year so comfortable, enjoyable, and dignified. Everyone at Montefiore helped provide a caring environment for Eli and we appreciate it. Graveside service on Monday, July 21 at 11 a.m. at the Farband Labour Zionist Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane.
