POLANSKY, Rose (nee Shiff) It is with great sadness that we announce Rose's peaceful passing with grace and dignity, on Monday, October 14, 2013 at the age of one-hundred-and-two. Wife of the late Nathan, and beloved mother of Barbara Axel. Devoted grandmother of Merrick and Lindsey, and proud great-grandmother of Ellery, Thomas, and Gray. Predeceased by her loving siblings and their spouses, Mary and Issie Zemel, Fanny and Mayer Ader, Eva and Jack Poliskin, and Sender Shafson. Dearest sister-in-law of Yetta and the late Jack Polansky, Victor and Alice Polansky, Saul and Louise Polansky, Rose and Nathan Caplan, the late Solly and the late Sarah Polansky, the late Betty and the late Issie Kogan. Rose will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers Cori, Maureen, Babsi, and Evelyn for their exceptional care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva to be announced.
