MONK, David. Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 24, 2008. Beloved husband of Goldie for fifty-six years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Brenda and Danny Fleischer, Howard and Cheryl, Steven and Naomi Monk. Cherished Grandpa of Lisa and Richard Nashman, Dahlia, Kiana, Jeremy and Zane Monk. Dear brother of Ruth Kahansky and predeceased by his siblings Joe, Max, Hyman, Sid, Dora, Fay Lee, Anne Borsho and Claire Davis. He will be sadly missed by his cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to Drs. W. Miller, D. Melnychuk and the staff of 7NW and the 8th floor Oncology at the Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 12 noon. Burial at the Shevat Achim Congregation Cemetery, De La Savane.
