SINGER, Vera (nee Karasik) Peacefully, on Monday, February 29, 2016, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred Orland, and the late Sam Singer. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Heddy and Ray Shenfield, Cheryl and Joe Abrams. Cherished grandmother of Darren and Wendy Bernstein, Gavin and Laura Bernstein, Russell and Fatoumata Bernstein; Tara Abrams, Mitchell Abrams. Proud great-grandmother of Nora, Myer, David, and Leila. Predeceased by her siblings Ida (Al Sommer), Ann Weltman; and sister-in-law of Harold Weltman. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to doctors, nurses, and staff of 6th floor at the Jewish General Hospital, and the staff at the King David Residence, all for their exceptional care. Graveside service on Tuesday, March 1 at 12 noon at the Shevat Achim Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva strictly private in Florida.
