POMERANTZ, Joseph (Joe) Peacefully, at home in Montreal, on Saturday, October 11, 2014, in his ninety-fourth year. Beloved husband of Sarah Dubrovsky for sixty-eight years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Lonny and Linda, Richard (Dick) and Bobbie, and Joanne Pomerantz Kroll. Cherished "Papa Joe" of Alexandra (Lexi) and Liam. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Ray and the late Louis Brown, Edith and the late Harold Cohen, the late Rose and the late David Comm, the late Phil and the late Ida, Lorraine and the late Morris Pomerantz, Herb and the late Betty Lindenbaum, the late Ben Pomerantz, the late Saul and the late Alice Pomerantz; and brother-in-law of Sylvia and the late Reuben Dubrovsky, Charlotte and Morton Walfish, Earl and Faigie Dubrovsky, Lorna and the late Jack Stroll. Joe will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to his caregivers, Elsa and Vicky, and to Dr. Carmela Pepe and her team at the Jewish General Hospital for their care, kindness and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Wednesday, October 15 at 12 noon. Burial at the Shevat Achim Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane.
