ROTER, Bernard. Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at the age of eighty-six. Beloved husband of the late Sima (Simmy) Witenoff, and Goldie Basner Hoffman. Dearest father and father-in-law of Donny and Dorothy, Linda and Ian Samuels, Ian and Wendy. Proud Zaida of Lori, Ari and Angie, Tammy and Will, Corey, Jamie, and Evan. Great-grandfather of Brandon. Predeceased by his siblings Rita, Sollo, Marion, and Bella. Brother-in-law of Harry and Pearl Witenoff, Sarah and Allan Pomerantz, Mac and the late Faigie Kirsh. He will be missed by Rona and Matthew Surkis, Gerald Hoffman, Eleanor Hoffman, and their families. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Friday, January 6 at 1:45 p.m. Burial at the Bassarabier Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private.
