ETHEL ZATZ (nee PILTCH) On Thursday, October 23, 2008, three weeks before her ninetieth birthday. Beloved wife of the late Sol. Loving mother of Della Golland, and Jerry Golland. Devoted grandmother of Marc, May, Sue, Martin, Barish, Ozan, Malaika, and Jonathan. Proud great-grandmother of Talia, Aedan, Lulu, and David. Daughter of the late Hinda Sandler and the late Abraham Piltch. Predeceased by her dear siblings, Adele, Anne, Edith, Jules, Vic, Lou, and Phil. Devoted aunt to many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Soulmate of Rose, Ruth, Marie, Fanny, Pat, Marley, and Dolly. Member for more than fifty years of the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal, and the Ladies Morning Musical Club. Longtime member of the Montreal Museum of Fine Art and Le Musee d'art contemporain; Les Amis de la Montagne, and Dans la Rue. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Arthur Rosenberg, Dr. Vania Jeminez, Nurse Too-Ha, and Nurse Susie Alper. Every day was a celebration of life for Ethel. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon Street West, on Sunday, October 26, at 12 noon. Burial at the Independent Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, De la Savane.
