BERNSTEIN, Frances (nee Beckelman)
Peacefully in her ninety-fourth year on Monday, August 12, 2013. Wife of the late Jack Bernstein. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Bunny and the late Irving Haimovitz, Leona (Lee) and Stephen Shulman, Elaine and Stanley Rosenberg. Cherished "Bubbie Faigie" of Eileen and Arnie Gluz, Randi Haimovitz; Shawn and Kathy Shulman, Loren and Rochelle Shulman; Justin Rosenberg; Heather and David Perl, and Matthew Rosenberg. Proud great-grandmother of Brandon and Rebecca Jordan Shulman; Ilana and Adam Jeremy (A.J.) Gluz, and Maya Perl. Sister of the late Ida Mandelcorn, the late Ettie Granofsky, the late Rae Kravitz, and the late Molly Wowa. Dear sister-in-law of Nat and Norman Bernstein. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of the Steger Residence and to the staff of the Emergency Department at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Tuesday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter Bunny's home.
