BERNSTEIN, Jack. Peacefully and courageously on Wednesday, February 12, 2003, at the age of eighty-two. Beloved husband of sixty-one years of Frances Beckelman. Loving father and father-in-law of Bernice (Bunny) and the late Irving Haimovitz, Leona (Lee) and Stephen Shulman, Elaine and Stanley Rosenberg. Cherished Zaida of Eileen and Arnie Gluz, Randi Haimovitz; Shawn and Kathy Shulman, Loren and Rochelle Shulman; and Justin Rosenberg. Proud great-grandfather of Brandon and Rebecca Jordan Shulman and Ilana Gluz. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Nat and Edith, Norman and Noma. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Joan Zidulka and the wonderful Staff of 5 Main, St. Mary's Hospital, as well as, Monique Larocque and the Staff of CLSC Saint-Laurent. We also wish to express our gratitude to Dimitry and Joane for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Sunday, February 16 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, Section 1 (C-9) de la Savane. Shiva at his residence.
