GRALNICK, Bernard
It is with profound sadness that the family of Bernard Gralnick announces his peaceful passing at home, on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, holding hands with his wife Helen, the love of his life for sixty-eight years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Rosalie and Sender Herschorn, Judy and Rowan Fish, Eric and Brenda Gralnick. Beloved Grandpa of Melanie and Evan Freedman, Andrea and Daniel Lipton, Erica Herschorn; Karyn Fish and Brian King, Cynthia Fish and Sean Switzman; Tara, Franki, and Daniel Gralnick. Adoring great-grandfather of Deanna, and Nicholas Freedman; Annabel Lipton; and Cordelia King. Devoted son of the late Sarah and the late Mischa. Brother of the late Isidore. Dear brother-in-law of Paula and the late Ed Snyder, the late Bertha and the late Ben Tucker. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and family. Bernard was a true Renaissance man with a strong passion for learning. His varied interests included classical music, science, history, politics and nature. He was an honourable man who was trusted and respected by all who knew him. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Bernard's exceptional team of caregivers; Ninfa, Veronica, Virgie, Sheena, Mark, Mary-Ann and Luz, whose kindness and devotion were second to none. Grateful thanks to Dr. Golda Tradounsky and Nurse Dominique Gohier, of the Mount Sinai Palliative Home Care program for their compassionate hands-on support. Heartfelt thanks to nurses Rosy and Patricia of the CLSC Rene-Cassin and Helene of NOVA.
