SHEIN, Martha (nee Izso) Peacefully, on Monday, May 24, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Max. Devoted and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Eva and Alan Katznelson, Steven and Donna. Treasured Bubby of Jaclyn Kenigsberg and David Schipper; Brady, Brittany, Scott, and Max Shein. Proud great-grandmother of Abigail Joanna. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Katie and the late Pista Klein. Dear aunt of Ronald and Jackie Schwartz, Jay and the late Marilyn Weinstein. Martha was a survivor. She was predeceased by her parents and family who perished in the Holocaust, and by Max's siblings and their spouses, Rosa and Morris Herscovitch, Faiga and Sam Baserman, Ita and Avrum, Saul and Etta Shein, Sam and Annie Shein. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Drs. Arthur Rosenberg and Stephen Caplan, and to the nursing staff at the Segal Cancer Centre for their exceptional care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, May 25 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Cemetery, Beth David Section, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter's home after 2 p.m. daily.
