KAUFMAN, Dora (née Ruckenstein) On Sunday, November 26, 2017, in her ninety-third year. Beloved wife of the late Nat Kaufman. Adored companion of Syd Atlas. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Rosemary and Dr. Stephen Caplan, Maureen and Joel Richler. Cherished Bubby of Caralee Caplan and Jason Shaw, Jessica Caplan and Dave Ford, Andrea Caplan and Neil Rubin; Rebecca Richler and David Silver, Jennifer Richler and Matt Crump. Proud great-grandmother (Superbubby) of Natalie, Gabriel, Samantha, Juniper, Lexi, Tristan, Joey, Jacob, and Julianna. Sister and sister-in-law of Eleanor and the late Rubin Ruckenstein, and predeceased by her other siblings and their spouses, Harry and Freda Ruckenstein, and Hyman Ruckenstein. Sister-in-law of the late Phila and the late Earl Kriger. Dora will be greatly missed by her devoted nephew, Dr. Stanley Ruckenstein and his wife, Sharon, her other nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Caroline Michel and the staff of K2 Cardiology Unit at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Dora's caregivers, Rhonda, Pearlie and Raj for their love and extraordinary kindness. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, November 27 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Beth David Section, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter Rosemary's home, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
