Peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2001. Beloved husband of Beatrice Silverman and the late Leah Mindlin. Devoted father and father-in-law of Gail and Stanley Hitzig, and Beverley and Teddy Canter. Cherished grandpa of Brian, Rick and Lisa Dalfen, Randi and Neil Miller, Susan and Steven Mitchell, Jill and Robert Appel. Special great-grandfather of Samantha, Brittany, Lorne, Jamie, Alex, Seth, Carly, Jarod and Skylar. Step-father of Sandy and Solly Huberman, Nelson and Helen, Martin and Sharon Goldsmith. Brother of the late Anne Silverman, the late Lily Mendelsohn, the late Dave Mindlin, the late Tillie Goldstein, the late Katie Levitan and the late Ettie Miller. Much loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Jewish General Hospital, 7 West, for their devotion and kindness. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West on Monday, December 24, 2001 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem, de la Savanne. Shiva private.
