MARCUS, Frances (nee Surkes) Peacefully, on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the age of ninety. Devoted wife of the late Maurice (Mark). Dearly beloved mother and mother-in-law of Leesa Marcus Kutzin and Brian Kutzin. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Zelda and the late Harry Feldman, the late Sara and the late Ernie Pappelbaum, the late Mollie and the late Sam Penner. Sister-in-law of Mona and the late Peter Mazoff, Marilyn Marcus, the late Joe Marcus, the late Molly and the late Hy Marcus, the late Shirley and the late Ben Marcus. Frances will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, family and friends. The family wishes to thank her devoted caregivers, Jean, Linda and Del. Our gratitude to Dr. Bernard Elfassy and the staff of the Jewish Eldercare Centre for their wonderful care and compassion, as well as to Dr. Stanley Heisler and Dr. Luc Trudeau. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, November 24 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Beth David Section, de la Savane.
