BORDEN, Edna (nee Priven)
On Monday, September 26, 2016, in her ninety-third year. Beloved wife of the late Phil Borden. Adored mother and mother-in-law of Leslie and Martin Wiseman, Ghita and Leo Gerczuk, Eric and Cyndy Borden, and Cathy and David Kreuter. Cherished grandmother of Paul (Tamar), Philip (Natasha), Lauren (Josh), Suzanne (Josef), Tony (Jonelli), Aaron (Stephanie), Laura (Michael), Benjamin, Philip and Rachel. Loving great-grandmother of Abby, Nathan, Charlotte, Sabela, John, Ivy and Chelsea. Wonderful aunt to her nieces Bunny Blond and Lois Robinson, and nephew David Heller. Edna was predeceased by her beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, Anita and Abe Heller and Nona and Dave Henderson. She was a kind, loving, intelligent woman who devoted herself to her family and friends and gave of her time to The Pioneer Women's Organization (Na'amat). She loved music, ballet, theatre, art, games (mah-jong), and nature. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West on Wednesday, September 28 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Beth David Section, de la Savane. Shiva at 4225 St. Dominique #301, Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (Eric), continuing in Toronto (Cathy, Leslie and Ghita) on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday after sundown at 60 Cantertrot Court, Thornhill.
