LEWIN, Laurence (Laurie). Peacefully, after a courageous battle, on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Beloved husband and best friend of Carole Teitelbaum. Devoted father and father-in-law of Elliot and Mel Rubin, Michael and Amielle Lewin. Cherished grandfather of Izzie Rubin, Lhassa Lewin. Sadly mourned by Matthew and Jeremy Herman; Zachary and Alicia Lequin. Dear brother of Sheila Smith and brother-in-law of Joel and Dione Teitelbaum. Loving uncle of Rosslyn and Ricky Bourne, Debra and Andrew Montlake, Simon and Donna Mullish. He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and colleagues. Special thanks to Dr. Jason Agulnik, Dr. Rubin Becker and Estie Dajczman for their extraordinary care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Friday, November 14 at 11 a.m. Burial at Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva strictly private.
