FRIEDMAN, Dave. A man of integrity, greatly respected and honoured. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Friedman, peacefully, in the comfort of his loving family, on Sunday, August 26, 2007, at the Mount Sinai Hospital. Predeceased by his devoted and treasured wife of sixty-nine years, the late Anne Perlman Friedman. Most adored and cherished father and father-in-law of Irma Friedman Kredentser, Shelley and Michael Goodwin, Beverlee and David Perlin. Most treasured and caring grandfather of Herb and Debbie Brownstein, Mitchell and Elaine Brownstein; Marla and Richard Zipper, Jeff and Lisa Goodwin; Jewel and Donna Perlin. Loving and adored great-grandfather of Ryan, Josh and Sean Brownstein; Andrew, Matthew and Marlee Brownstein; Rachelle and Jennifer Zipper; Charlie, Eli and Ben Goodwin. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Hymie and the late Pauline Friedman, the late Ruth Friedman Hyam, and brother-in-law of the late Leah and the late Al Grossman, the late Jack and the late Ann Perlman. Devoted son of the late Nisel and the late Chaya Ita Friedman, and son-in-law of the late Max and the late Jennie Perlman. Predeceased by his siblings Menashe, Henya, Dobbie and their families who perished in the Holocaust. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and family. Special thanks to Dr. David Benaim and the staff at the Mount Sinai and the Jewish General Hospitals for their excellent care and compassion. Heartfelt thanks to his caregivers Yvette, Martha and Genet. Funeral service took place from Paperman & Sons, on Monday, August 27. Shiva at his residence.
