SIGAL, Dr. John Jacob
Peacefully, on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Beloved husband of Goldie Kaplansky. Loving and devoted father of Dr. Ron Sigal (Judy St. Germain), Emily Sigal Baird, Dr. Julie Sigal-Rosenmann (Dr. Eran Rosenmann). Cherished 'Zeidie John' of Lia, Tali, Adam, Yotam, Danya, Noam, Claire and Maya. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Dr. Cecil and the late Ruth Sigal. Distinguished psychologist, psychoanalyst, author and researcher. Former Director of Research, Institute of Community and Family Psychiatry, Jewish General Hospital. John will be sadly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and all of those whose lives he touched. The family would like to thank his caregivers, particularly Thelma, Flor and Glen, for their devoted care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Tuesday, August 14 at 12 noon. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 6595 Mackle Rd. # 411, C.S.L., from 2 to 4 and 7:30 to 9 p.m. daily (excluding Friday evening and Saturday).
