Obituary EPSTEIN, Benjamin Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, surrounded by the love of his family. Beloved husband and best friend of Ruth Charad for over sixty years. Treasured and loving father and father-in-law of Joy, and Shelley and Allan Benchetrit. Adored and precious 'Zaidy' of Alex and Jonah Naimer, and Jacob and Jenna Benchetrit, whom he loved with all of his heart. Cherished brother-in-law of Shirley and Henry Marcovitz, Elli and the late Ralph Charad, Pat and the late Issie Charad, and the late Bill Charad. Dear uncle of Marcy and Ernie Seidman, Alan and Gail Marcovitz, Lorne Marcovitz, Michael and Ariella Marcovitz, Aron and the late Jackie Charad, and Judi and Reegan Charad. Ben will be dearly missed by his many great-nieces and great-nephews, and his life-long friends who were so important to him. Our deepest gratitude to St. Mary's Hospital 8th Floor West and the Palliative Care Unit for the dignity and compassion shown to our family. Special thanks to Peter Vavougios and Dr. Peter Lipes. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 22 at 12 noon. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at the home of his daughter, Shelley, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
