KORENBERG, Morton It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very remarkable man, our wonderful father, Dr. Morton Korenberg, on Friday, July 30, 2010, at the age of ninety-six, at the Jewish General Hospital. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Sarah Esther Mendelson. Devoted and caring father and father-in-law of Drs. Lela Korenberg and Malcolm Macfarlane, Dr. Michael Korenberg and special friend, June Fransblow, and Marion and Hillel David. Cherished grandfather of Wendy and Ian Sewell, David Macfarlane, Karen Macfarlane, Robert David, and Daniel and Rosie David, and great-grandfather of Makayla Sewell. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Dr. Lyon and the late Mary Korenberg, the late Clara and the late Abe Katz, and the late Sol and the late Goldie Korenberg. Brother-in-law of the late Hyman and the late Gertrude Mendelson, Edward and Madeline Mendelson, Claire and Milton Friefeld, and Dr. Jack and Lola Mendelson. We deeply appreciate the devotion of Liwayway, Cora, Rosemar and Amiliana. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, August 1 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Beth Yehuda Cemetery, de la Savane.
