ROSENBERG, Dr. Arthur MD, FRCPC Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, September 3, 2018. Beloved partner of Marie Giguere. Devoted father and father-in-law of Pamela and David Vennin, Matthew Rosenberg and Neda Hadjikhani. Cherished Zaidie to Rose, Sydney and Magali Vennin. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Sylvia and the late Claude Chapeau, the late Flora and the late Joe Melia. Arthur will be sadly missed by his niece, nephews and many friends, including some for over seventy-five years. He practiced hematology for forty-nine years at the Jewish General Hospital, where he was born, and was renowned as a caring physician and teacher. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for him in the last weeks of his life. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Hematology Research Fund or to the Palliative Care Unit c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251. |
