SHRAGIE, Abe Peacefully, on Saturday, June 26, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Nettie Avrith. Much loved father and father-in-law of Michael and Alyssa, Alan and Debbie. Cherished grandfather of Shannon and Natalie, and David and Gabrielle; Joshua and Jessica. Adored great grandfather of Averie, Austin, and Ethan. Foster father of Gail Moscovitch and Celia Ostroff. Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Esther and Harry Goldberg, Max and Bessie Shragie, Channa Shragie, Lily and Norman Braverman, Eli and Jenny Shragie, Becky and Saul Blander, and Israel Shragie. Survived by his sister-in-law Ettie Shragie. Brother-in-law of Bertha and the late Harry Avrith, the late Sam and the late Beatrice Avrith, Mickey and the late Jenny Avrith, Henry and Natalie Avrith, Moishe and Esther Avrith. Abe will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to Soury Tsouria of the Jewish General Hospital for his compassionate care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, June 28 at 12 noon. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 6795 Korczak Cr. #1008, C.S.L., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
