BALKAN, Max. On Sunday, August 27, 2006. Dearly beloved husband of Rella Nathens. Devoted father and father-in-law of Glenda Balkan and Roger Champagne of Victoria, B.C., Dr. Wayne Balkan and Dr. Kerry Burnstein of Coral Gables, Florida. Cherished grandfather of Katie Takefman; Kyla and Liam Balkan. Brother of the late William. Dear brother-in-law of Ellen Balkan, Dr. Marvin and Paula Nathens. Sadly mourned by his family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Tuesday, August 29 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his home.
