MARKOWITZ, Mildred "Mickey Shinder" (nee Shulemson) On Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Wife of George Markowitz, the late Joseph Torbin, and the late Hyman Shinder. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Beverley and Sidney Rath, Ronny Shinder, Wendy and Scott Heilbrunn. Cherished Bubbie of Erika, and Zachary Rath; Jacob Shinder; Alyssa, Arianna, and Emily Heilbrunn. Sister and sister-in-law of Seyma and the late Morris Akerman, the late Sylvia and the late Meyer Caplan. Mickey will be lovingly remembered by the Markowitz family, the Shinder family, and by all who knew and loved her. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Wednesday, July 14 at 12 noon. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter Beverley's home, from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily.
