AKMAN, Sadie (nee Schnapp). Peacefully on Monday, October 24, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Moe. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Paula Barbarush (Allan) and Harvey Akman. Cherished grandmother of David Barbarush (Karolyn), Joel Barbarush (Belinda) and Mindy Barbarush. Proud great-grandmother of Maya, Alyssa, Rachel and Lucy. Daughter of the late Mina and the late Joseph Schnapp. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Moe and Bert Schnapp, Phil and Mitzi Schnapp, Leah and Naji Zalayet; Frances and David Mayne, Norman and Ida Akman, Jack and Nettie Akman, Charles and Sarah Akman and Alice Schlosberg. Sadie will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Sincere thanks to the staff of 3D at the Maimonides Geriatric Center for their kind care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, October 27 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane.
