HOROWITZ, Ray Peacefully, in her one hundredth year, on Thursday, August 20, 2009. Wife of the late Isidore Horowitz. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Esther and the late Steven Backler. Dear sister of Bella Huss, the late Sophie Levine, the late Myer Zornberg, the late Manny Zornberg. Loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. "Special Mom" to all of Esther's fabulous friends. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of Snowdon Residence. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, August 23 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 3980 Cote-des-Neiges Rd, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. through Tuesday evening, August 25.
