KATZ, Oscar September 8, 1930 -- October 14, 2010 Peacefully, on Thursday, October 14, 2010, in Houston, TX. Beloved husband and best friend of Belfrine "Belle" Browman for fifty-six years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Robin Katz, Mark and Valerie Katz. Cherished grandfather of Cory G., David L, and Sabrina. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Doris and the late Maury Struzer, Judy Shapiro Creatchman and the late Jerry Shapiro and the late Nat Creatchman, Rose Glagow Weicher and the late Harold Glagow and the late Sid Weicher, and brother-in-law of Cecile Mauer Katz, Jerry and Heather Browman, Linda and Harold Trachtenberg. Predeceased by his other siblings and their spouses, Manny and Lynne Katz, Ruthie and Max Rosenbloom, and Bill Katz. He will be greatly missed by his nephew and niece, Brian and Linda Shapiro. Oscar will be sadly missed by special friends, Sandi and Walter Magenheim of Florida and lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Rue Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, October 19 at 12 noon. Burial at the Victorian Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Ruby Foo's Hotel through Thursday evening.
