SLAKMON, Elie In his ninety-sixth year, on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Beloved husband of Suzie Benainous for seventy years. Devoted father of Jean Pierre, Alain, Michel and Chantal, and father-in-law of Diane, Maude, Russell and the late Yette. Cherished "Papi Lili" of Philippe, Marc, Benjamin, Alexandre and Sebastien; Cybele, Catherine and Elliott; Magali; Joe and Andrew. Loving great-grandfather of Scott, Dylan and Kimberly; Emma, Lucie and Jedd; Simon, Tristan and Matthias. Dear brother of Jeannette Taieb, Maurice, the late Henriette Uzan, the late Gaston and the late Roger, and brother-in-law of Mireille Slakmon and Gabriel Benainous. Sadly mourned by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Samuel Aronson of the Jewish General Hospital. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of 6 North at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, February 10 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane.
