MACLAN, Morris Peacefully and with dignity, after a courageous battle, on Friday, July 30, 2010. Cherished and devoted husband of Ruth Brock for over sixty-two years. Treasured and loved father and father-in-law of Sandra and Clifford Taite, Belle and Louis Burak, Mary and Neil Trevick. Adored "Grandpa" of Charles and Roberta, Jason and Ariane; Jeremy, Lewis and Teri, Howard; Jordan, and Casey. Very proud "Great-Grandpa" of Isabella, James, Madison, Devon, and Kori. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Harold and Sarah, Irving and Dorothy, Paulie, Philip and Sandra, Estelle and Sam Reiter, Shirley and Seymour Steinman, Mickey and Cynthia, Ella and the late Dave, Issie and the late Dorothy Eisenwasser, the late Annie, and the late Jack. Brother-in-law of Barbara and the late Hyman Brock. Morris will be fondly remembered by the Burak family, and by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to his caregivers, Bridgette and Asare, who gave him compassion and dignity. The family would like to acknowledge with gratitude Dr. Golda Tradounsky, Dr. Marilisa Romano and the Palliative Care team at Mt. Sinai Hospital for their exceptional care and attention. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, August 1 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Leslie Hore Belisha Cemetery, de la Savane.
