MORRIS, Sarah (nee Zimring)
After a long and honorable life, although debilitated the last few years by the indignities of stroke and vascular dementia, Sarah is reunited with the great love of her life, Jack who predeceased her in 1991. She succumbed to pneumonia on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at the age of ninety-eight. Sorely missed and loved beyond words, she is survived by her daughter, June, son-in-law, Larry, her grandsons, Josh (Aurora), Jordan and Daniel, and her great-grandson, Jack. She lived her life through service to others, and was awarded the Governor General's Caring Canadian Award in 2008. Bad weather never stopped her from honoring her commitment to people waiting for her visits. Sarah lived the last six years of her life at the wonderful Snowdon Residence. There are no words to thank Judy and Yigal Epstein, and their incredible staff who cared for Sarah with love and devotion until the end of her life. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 22 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Leslie Hore Belisha Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at Ruby Foo's Hotel, 7655 Decarie Blvd. To honor Sarah's memory, be kind to others, and do something nice for someone less fortunate than you.
