SILVER, Sari (nee Bassior) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sari Silver on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at the age of ninety-one. Much-beloved and devoted wife of the late Herbert Silver and daughter of the late Kiva and the late Rebecca Bassior. She will be missed terribly by her children, Stephen (Vickie) and Joan (the late Edward); her grandchildren, Robert (Karen), Jennifer (Josh), Jonathan (Jana) and Richard (Melissa); great-grandchildren, Serena, Jacob, Dylan, Matthew, Erin, Maya, and Edward; her sister, Anne (Allan); and her nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her siblings, Fanny Goldner (Peter), Rose Kalmanasch (Bill) and Lou Bassior (Mollie). Special thanks to Lena Collymore and the caring staff at the Jewish Eldercare Centre, 4th floor. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, June 2 at 12 noon. Burial at the Zichron Kedoshim Cemetery, Beth Israel & Samuel Section, de la Savane. Shiva at 1 Wood Ave., #1403, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. |
