CLAMAN, Mary (nee Katz)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Katz Claman, who passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 11, 2012 following a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. A "survivor" of the holocaust, she is the daughter of Sandor Katz and Helen Gluck, who perished in the concentration camps. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Abe Claman. Cherished mother of Brian, Mark and Catherine. Loving grandmother of Kelly, Rebecca, Danny, Zoe, Zachary and Ciara. Pre-deceased by her sister Suzanne Reich. The family extends its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to her caregivers, Thelma and Joy, who took care of her over the years as if she was their own mother. Also thanks to Dr Rubin Becker for his support and care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, May 13 at 3:00 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Shaas Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MKC Foundation, (514) 341-4440, ( www.mkcfoundation.com ) 6445 Cote-de-Liesse, Montreal, QC., H4T 1E5 would be appreciated.
