STROLL, Ida (nee Brookman) Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, June 13, 2010. Daughter of the late David and the late Golda Brookman. Beloved wife for sixty-four years of the late Alex. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Joyce and Avrom Lachovsky, Terrye and Peter Dawson. Cherished Bubby of Mark and Orna, Stuart, and Shannon. Proud great-grandmother of Justin, April, Brandon and Kelsey. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Melvin and Jean Brookman, Solly and Sophie Brookman, Louis and Fanny Brookman, Beatrice and Sam Ostroff, Ruth and Milton Paskell. Dear sister-in-law of Jean and the late Max Bercovitch, Arthur and Millie Stroll, the late Claire and the late Sam Sagen. Ida will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff and nursing staff of Steger Residence for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, June 16 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane.
