TORONTOUR, Anne (nee Barnett) Peacefully surrounded by family, on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Morris Torontour. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Raina and Joe Carolla. Adored grandmother of Jason and Melanie, Michael, and Darren. Very proud great-grandmother of Ashley, and Aiden. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Betty and the late Charlie Cohen, Sydney and Miriam Barnett (the late Lilette Barnett Cohen), sister-in-law of Celia and the late Ben Weinfeld, Bertha and the late Meyer Gabarsky, and predeceased by Sophie and Ben Goldman, Abraham and Gladys Torontour, Yetta Zajdel, Esther and Morris Bernard. Anne will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Dawn-Marie. The family also wishes to acknowledge the wonderful staff of the Jewish Eldercare Centre for their genuine compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Thursday, March 24 at 12 noon. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva to be announced.
