PENCER, Ruth (nee Steinberg) Died peacefully at age ninety-three in Hillel Lodge on April 23, 2009, Ottawa, where she has lived for the past ten years. Predeceased by her dear husband, Mendy, and her five siblings. Loving mother of Irwin (Marcia) and Sandra Magadov. Caring grandmother of Laura, Matthew, Daniel, Stephen and the late Andrew. Great-grandmother of Ryan. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, April 26, at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva in Ottawa Monday and Tuesday, 512 Cambridge St. Many thanks to the staff at Hillel Lodge for their compassionate care of both Ruth and Mendy over the years.
