MICHALOFSKY, Michael (Meyer/Mike) Born August 1, 1916 in Montreal and passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on September 6, 2010, in Calgary, Alberta. This sweet, kind and most gentle man will be forever missed and always remembered by Rita (nee Wexler), his devoted and much loved wife of 50 years, his daughter, Shifra Di Battista and her husband Italo. Devoted and adored Zaidie to Natassja, Julian, Arianna and Maxim. Myer, who was predeceased by his six brothers - Harry Mitchell, Nat Mitchell, Bill Mitchell, Abe Michalofsky, Sam Michaels and Joe Mitchell - is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, September 12 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. A memorial service will take place in Calgary at a later date. |
