MICHALOFSKY, Rita (nee Wexler) Born in Montreal, passed away at age ninety-one after a brief illness in Calgary, Alberta. This sweet, kind and gentle woman will be lovingly missed and forever remembered by her daughter, Shifra Di Battista and her husband Italo. Cherished and beloved Bubby of Natassja, Julian, Arianna and Maxim. Rita was predeceased by her husband Myer (Mike) Michalofsky, brothers Walter, Jimmy and sister Susan as well as Michalofsky family sisters and brothers-in-law. She is survived by her brother Bernard, sister Betina, sisters-in-law Edith and Ruth as well as her many loving nieces and nephews. She was a remarkable wife and mother who fought and overcame the many challenges she faced with grace, strength and dignity. Sleep well Mummy. The graveside service will take place on Thursday, August 25 at 12 p.m. at Baron de Hirsch cemetery, Section C10-Independent Hebrew Sick #2, 5015 de la Savane Street, Montreal. Shiva at 5368 Coolbrook Ave following interment. |
