MARGOLIS, Licel (nee Mayer). In her ninetieth year on Saturday, November 19, 2005. Wife of the late Emanuel Margolis. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of John and Heike, Jacqueline, Agia Akal Khalsa, the late Fred and the late Bernadette. Cherished grandmother "Nanny" of Rebecca and Deirdre, Leana and Michael; Thomas and Donna. Loving great-grandmother of Abby. Devoted sister of Ruth Cohler, the late Fred Mayer. Dear aunt of Evelyn, Dorothy, Susan and June. Sadly mourned by her in-laws Johanna, Frauke and Antke. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Tuesday, November 22 at 10:45 a.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5187 Coolbrook Daily from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. through Thursday evening November 24. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (c/o Federation CJA, 345-2645 ext. 3295) in tribute to their successful 1944 Rescue Operation on the S.S.
