RYLES, Oscar Peter (ne Pohoryles) In Austria April 1914 - Died September 7, 2011 in Montreal He came to England before the Second World War then to Canada. He opened the Cosmo Restaurant in Montreal and sold it in 1958. He then worked for the Ritz Carlton Hotel where he rose to be "Captain Peter". He also helped his wife Natalie (nee Glass) and her brother Gerald Glass in the early days of the Academic book shop. His last position was in the mail room of the Royal Bank. He was a practical man and could repair almost everything. He is survived by his daughter Linda of Florida. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. |
