SHINDER, Mark (Mortimer) It is with great sadness that the family of Mark (Mortimer) Shinder announces his passing on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, in Toronto, just shy of his ninety-first birthday. Beloved husband of the late Rosaline Boyman for over thirty years. Cherished partner of Pola Kirshner for over thirty years. Adored and devoted father and father-in-law of Barb and Joey (Liberman), Gary and Bev. Loving and cherished Zaidy of Ali Currie and Cody, Leah Currie and Jordan Lavi; Michele and Jon Rockmore, Heather and David Hirsch. Proud great-Zaidy to his four great-grandchildren. Dear son of the late Soura and the late Moishe Shinder. Dear brother of Bookie Rosen and the late Claire Nelson. He will be remembered by his family and friends as the friendly smile behind the counter at Metcalfe Coffee Shop, and as a lover of a delicious Ruth's Chris steak, a nice glass of red wine, and a good football game. Heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Forest Hill Place and his personal caregivers, Joane and Cecilia.
