KATZ, Miklos (Mike) Peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in his ninety-sixth year. Beloved husband of Maria Ungar for seventy-one years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Joseph and the late Eva Douek. Cherished Grandpa of Jennifer, Daniel and Julia, and Benjamin. Proud great-grandfather of Motsumi, Siamela, James and Eva. Son of the late Samuel and the late Sharolta who perished in the Holocaust. Predeceased by his six sisters. Loving uncle of Agi Gyurik, great-uncle of Andrea and Rob, Nicole and Kenneth, and their children Simon, Maxwell, Lily, and Amelia. Miklos will be deeply missed by his family and many dear friends. Special thanks to his caregivers Rita, Bobbie, and Marika for their compassion and devotion, and to the doctors, nurses and staff of CCU at the Jewish General Hospital for their care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5700 Cavendish #603, Cote Saint-Luc, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
