OLSHANSKY, Gertie. Peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2000 at the age eighty-seven. Beloved wife for over sixty-two years of the late Sam Olshansky. Best and loving mother and mother-in-law of Resha and Marty Kaplan, Nancy Lazarus, Norma and Brian Stott. Sweet and beloved grandmother of Melanie, Adam and Samara Kaplan, Maureen and Rob Maynard, Ron Lazarus and Andrew Stott. Proud great grandmother of Aaron and Max Maynard and Sydney Kaplan. Survived by her sister Minnie as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law Nellie Blumin, Ruth Olshansky, Sarah Olshansky, Louis Olshansky and Aaron and Ruth Olshansky. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers Mary, Percey, Rose, Ida, and Dave, and brothers-in-law Issie, Moishe and Boris. A very special lady, she will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Shiva at 5525 Trent Ave. #101 (until Wednesday evening). Funeral service from Beth Olam Levayah, 8255 Bougainville, (corner of Decarie and De La Savane) on Monday, September 25. Burial at the Chevra Thilim Pinsker Cemetery, De La Savane. |
