FRIEDMAN, Alice (nee Axelrad) Peacefully, on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in her ninety-ninth year. Beloved wife of the late Leopold Friedman. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Judit and Yaïr Puni, the late Aniko and the late Alex Lanyi. 'Nagymama' of Thomas and Ellen, Peter and Andrea, Susan and Paul; and Smadar and Etay, and Meir and Dafna of Israel. Proud great-grandmother of fifteen. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Clara and the late Arthur Farkas and predeceased by her other siblings. Alice will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family, former students, and all those whose lives she touched. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of 7 North at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their exceptional and loving care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Thilim Pinsker Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva strictly private.
