SHAFFER, Ruth (nee Kahansky) On Sunday, May 1, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Hymie. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Ronnie and Lilian, Joseph and Rhona. Cherished Bubbie of Regine and Matthew Rodier, Rachel and Cory Chandler, Shari and Steve Zorn, Ilyssa and Christian Fauteux. Big Bubbie of Billy, Charlie, Harrison, Zoe, Taylor, Jack, Olivia, and the late Ellie. Survived by Al Bernstein, Ruth Caron Shaffer, Bluma Dieks, and predeceased by her siblings and their spouses. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Tuesday, May 3 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. daily, address to be announced.
