BERNSTEIN, Abraham (Al) Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, November 25, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Minnie. Devoted father and father-in-law of Harvey and Gisele Bernstein, Maureen Blauer and Emanuel Tomasino, Lidia and the late Dr. Jeffrey Bernstein. Cherished grandpa of Matthew, Phillip and Ganit, Jordan Bernstein and Rose McKinley; Dr. Evan and Keren, Robert, and the late Rebecca Blauer; Jasmine Bernstein. Proud great-grandfather of Benjamin, J.J., Maya, Avery, Ellie, Sofie, Neeve, and Max. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Nat and the late Sarah Bernstein, the late Sam and the late Esther Bernstein, the late Annie and the late Norman Price, the late Rae and the late Victor Resnick, the late Irving and the late Bernice Bernstein; and brother-in-law of Bluma Dieks (the late Bill Dieks and the late Herb Goldenberg), the late Willie Shaffer (Marilyn Shaffer and the late Evelyn Shaffer), the late Hymie and the late Ruth Shaffer, the late Rose and the late Bernie Ettenberg, and the late Harry Shaffer. Al will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to thank Mrs. Lee for her kindness. Special thanks to Marie-Anne for her love and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, November 28 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his son's home, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily through Thursday, December 1.
