SHARKEY (Schachter), Harriet (nee Ostro) After a long struggle with illness, borne with dignity, grace, determination and courage, on Thursday, November 19, 2009, in Toronto. Deeply loved and devoted wife of Harold Sharkey for 66 years. Much loved and loving mother and mother-in-law of Paul Sharkey and Susan van Gelder, Liane Sharkey and Howell Gotlieb. A very proud and beloved grandmother "Rosita" of Simon Sharkey-Gotlieb. She was loved by many, and her presence will be dearly missed. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, November 22 at 12 noon. Burial at the Dominion Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private Montreal Sunday and Monday, continuing in Toronto Tuesday to Thursday. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. |
