FITLEBERG, Irving With much courage, after a long illness on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the age of eighty-five. Treasured husband of Minnie Scholl for sixty-three years. Adored father and father-in-law of Debbie and Howard Cossever of Surrey, B.C., and Joy Fitleberg of Montreal. Beloved Zaidie of Lauren and Josh Lovejoy, Shane Cossever; and Emma Klein. Proud great-grandfather of Archer, and Westley. Dearest brother of Faigie Adelman; and brother-in-law of Sid and Rita Scholl, Joey and Sarah Scholl. He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Martin Gyger, and to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Tuesday, September 27 at 12:00 noon. Burial at Dominion Hebrew Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5450 Cranbrooke Ave. #307, Cote Saint-Luc, Tuesday through Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Due to the advent of Rosh Hashana, shiva ends on Sunday October 2.
