STERN, Annette (nee Luftman). Passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2006, at the age of ninety-one, after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Sydney. Adored and cherished mother, mother-in-law, and friend of Avena Smolkin and Don Moger, Roz and Brian Meshwork; and Linda and Jeremy Barry. Loving grandmother of Darren and Melody Smolkin, Cindy and Jarred Alter, Shelly Meshwork, Jarrad and Karen Meshwork, Josh and Arielle Barry. Proud great-grandmother of Samantha and Ryan Smolkin, Manny and Sean Alter and Sydney and Jesse Meshwork. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Teddy and the late Irving Shwed and Carol and Bert Luftman. Annette will be sadly missed by all her friends who knew and loved her. Special thanks to Joyce Shaffer for her wonderful care and compassion and the doctors and geriatric nursing staff at St. Mary's Hospital.
