MALKIN, Adele (nee Galler) Peacefully, in her ninetieth year, on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife and best friend of Lionel for sixty-seven years. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Marilynne Malkin and Miki Lane, Cheryl Malkin and Leon Boudreau, Helen Malkin and Mario Sinai. Proud grandma of Michael Sinai and Emma Sinai. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Laura and the late Leo Schwartz, and sister-in-law of Esther and Herbert Saltzman, the late Ben and the late Edith and the late Lottie Malkin. Adele will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews, Martin and Sondra Schwartz, Alan and Joyce Schwartz, Jeffrey and Anne Schwartz, Richard Malkin and Shirley Caron, Barbara and Paul Epton, Eric and Dorothy Malkin, David Saltzman, Stanley and Mariella Saltzman, Yossi and Dana Saltzman, and their families. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and many dear friends of all generations in Montreal, St. Albans Bay, Vermont and Longboat Key, Florida. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Segal Cancer Centre and the Jewish General Hospital, and to Helen – her companion of five months – all for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, August 7 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Dominion Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane.
