RAUCH, Irene (nee Fragman) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Irene on Monday, January 21, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Eddie for fifty-nine years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Bram, Karen and Errol Blander. Cherished Meme of Davina, Jonah, Nathaniel and Jesse. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Robert and Irma Fragman, Colette and Naïm Menda, Claude and Veronica Fragman, the late Daniel and the late Danielle Fragman; sister-in-law of Florence and the late Gerald Golt, Riva and the late Joseph, the late Aaron, Lynne and the late Bernard Rauch. Irene will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and the Yiddish theatre. Special thanks to her nurse Patricia Friesen and her social worker Patrick Durivage from the CLSC, and to the palliative home care team at Mount Sinai Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon W., on Wednesday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Dominion Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home, 5850 Marc-Chagall Ave., apartment 607, Cote St-Luc, Wednesday following burial until 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to The Miriam Foundation (514) 345-1300. |
